Tropical Rainy
Tropical rainy is basically when rain fall year round helping tree and may other plant life. If these areas weren't to get any rain it would cause that area to dry up and die.
Dry
Dry is deserts of course. Deserts are also called arid meaning "lack of Moisture". Dry area can sometimes have grass to help thing that live there but not often enough.
Cold
Cold areas tend to have rain but it so cold it doesn't really help much. There are Polar regions, plants start to grown in the summer when the snow melt a bit. There are also Sub-polar regions which aren't a severe, there are a few sprinkles of evergreen tree here and there.
Moderate
Moderate have about four climate regions. Humid subtropical, Humid continental, Mediterranean and marine west coast. All these area have a good amount of rain and farmer are most-likely to farm there.
Varied Highland
This is kind of another name for mountains. These places have molecules that have a much stronger pull when I comes to gravity. These molecules collect thermal energy so when the highland reaches higher the air becomes then and the molecules hold less thermal energy. This is called lapse rate. That is also why it's so cold at the top of mountains.
